The National Heritage Institute will be presenting Monument Specialities at the MONUMENTS 2015 fair!

Monuments of industrial, modern and rural architecture are currently enjoying popularity but at the same time – in another sense – they are a fringe interest. This is a specific area of conservation, in which expert evaluation requires special knowledge and experience, their protection requires different concepts and approaches, and their restoration often needs unusual procedures and technologies. In the past they also all had to undergo a difficult quest for understanding on the part of experts and appreciation by the public.

The National Heritage Institute is dedicating the Monument Specialities exhibit to the uniqueness of these three specific areas of the Czech Republic’s fund of monuments, and both the positive and negative elements that go with it.

Each year we have a presentation at the MONUMENTS trade fair, and this year is no exception. We would like to invite you to our stand and exhibit entitled “Monument specialities. Care of industrial, modern and rural architecture.” (KPE 133), and also to another exhibit “Dobrovíz in the arms of heritage preservation, or Yesterday, today and “if”” (KPE 141) as part of the accompanying programme at the fair.
