INCHEBA PRAHA INFORMATION ABOUT THE FIRE IN THE LEFT WING OF THE INDUSTRIAL PALACE19.10.2008

Dear Exhibitors,

The fire that struck the Left Wing of the Industrial Palace meant that the PRAGODENT trade fair had to be cancelled after its opening day. We are very sorry about what has happened. Fortunately no human lives were lost in the fire. However, there were significant losses to material values and part of the building which is an important example of Czech architecture and a major exhibition site was destroyed. We would sincerely like to thank the many of you who have given us your support in this difficult time.

Thanks to the fast and professional intervention by the Fire Brigade, the structural engineer decided that it was possible to have access to the Central Hall and Right Wing for their original purposes as early as on Friday, 17^th October. In cooperation with the City of Prague Incheba began talks immediately after the fire to quickly rebuild the Left Wing of the Palace. Trade fairs will continue to be held in the Výstaviště exhibition grounds this year and in following years according to the exhibition calendar. We are taking measures to cope with the difficult conditions that have arisen. The only exception is the PRAGOLIGNA trade fair that was supposed to begin on 23^rd October and which, in view of the ongoing investigations, we have agreed with exhibitors to postpone until the middle of January 2009.

For more than one hundred years the exhibition grounds at Prague - Holešovice have been known throughout the world for hosting exhibitions and that is how we consider them now and for the future. Fairs and exhibitions undoubtedly belong here, as do other events organised here, and the inhabitants of Prague and not just them enjoy them. They have become a part of their lives.

We very much hope that by taking part in the trade fairs and exhibitions that are planned you will help us to continue the tradition of exhibitions in a place that due to its function and contents is part of the important inheritance and potential of our country.

2-nd CZECH – RUSSIAN MEDICAL FORUM8.2.2008

THE 2-ND CZECH RUSSIAN MEDICAL FORUM will take place as a part of this year Pragomedica trade fair. The planned medical forum, which takes up the success of the first Russian-Czech Medical forum, which took place in Čeljabinsk in 2006, and the preparatory business journey of Russian experts to the Czech Republic in 2007 and it is supposed to restore the tradition of mutual exchange of experiences and information, making each other acquainted with latest achievements and innovations in the areas of oncology, cardiology and immunology in the Czech Republic and Russian Federation – Ural Federal Region.

Preparation of the upcoming PRAGOMEDICA 2008 in full swing30.9.2007

The Pragomedica 2008 fair is quickly approaching. The already 30th annual exhibition will take place from 15th – 18th April 2008. Up to date we have had already 100 exhibitors, among them the most important ones from the branch such as A.M.I.-Analytical Medical Instruments, Biophys, BTL zdravotnická technika, Dräger Medical, Getinge, Hospimed, Hypokramed, KRD, Miele, Pharmakon, Philips, Schoeller Instruments, Siemens, Toshiba, V.M.K. and others.
